The line service is one: Linea 02 of Navigazione Golfo dei Poeti. It connects La Spezia, Lerici, Porto Venere, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza, Monterosso, Levanto, Deiva Marina and Moneglia. Corniglia is left out, because it is on the cliff and has no landing.

The boat does not replace the train, which stops in all the villages, and is not included in any Cinque Terre Card. It is another way to see the coast, tied to the sea: the operator writes on every schedule that the service may change with weather and sea conditions.

The short answer

The daily Cinque Terre ticket, with which you get on and off all day, costs €42 for an adult and €15 reduced from La Spezia, Lerici or Porto Venere; the afternoon ticket is €28. Single trips from La Spezia cost €22 to Riomaggiore or Manarola and €30 to Vernazza, Monterosso or Levanto. From 2 November to 8 December 2026 there is the «Cinque Terre Trip», with the daily ticket at €37.

Where do you take the ferry to the Cinque Terre?

The line continues to Deiva Marina and Moneglia. According to the Tourist Consortium, in spring and summer there are daily connections from La Spezia, Lerici, Porto Venere and Portofino. Lines and landings are on the Navigazione Golfo dei Poeti website.

The PDF schedules indicate the ports as accessible to wheelchairs and bicycles.

Daily ticket or single trip: how do they work?

The daily ticket is a round trip with which you get on and off all day; the single trip is one leg. Online they can be bought up to the day before.

With the daily ticket you stop at the ports you want and depart on a later trip. The afternoon ticket works the same way, in the afternoon, at €28. The Giro 3 Isole is a €5 supplement to the daily ticket, from Riomaggiore and the ports further north.

Single trips from La Spezia to Riomaggiore and Manarola stop at Porto Venere; those to Vernazza, Monterosso and Levanto stop at all ports.

What are the boat schedules for the Cinque Terre?

They change with the season: for 2026 the operator has published schedules from 28 September to 18 October, from 19 October to 1 November and the «Cinque Terre Trip» from 2 November to 8 December.

We do not copy the Linea 02 schedules: you will find them updated on the operator's schedules page. The winter service, on the other hand, is simple. From 2 November to 8 December 2026 the "Cinque Terre Trip" departs from La Spezia at 10:00, stops at Porto Venere, Vernazza and Monterosso and returns to La Spezia at 17:00. The daily ticket costs €37 (€15 reduced), the single trip to Monterosso €25 (€15 reduced).

In every period the service may change with the weather and sea.

Why doesn’t Corniglia have a boat?

Because it is the only one of the five villages not on the sea: it is on the cliff and has no landing.

You get there by train, at Corniglia station, or on foot. With the boat’s daily ticket you can get off in Manarola or Vernazza and continue by train, with a separate ticket or the Treno MS Card. On foot, according to the Park, as of 22 September 2026 the stretch from Manarola was closed; the one from Vernazza is classified as Esperto, 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What boat tours are there in the Cinque Terre?

From La Spezia: the boat with a guide, the small boat with a stop in Monterosso and the day cruise with lunch; from Monterosso: the day boat or at sunset and the kayak to Vernazza.

Each tour is described with what its listing says. GetYourGuide starting prices in dollars as of October 2026; all can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before. The boat with land stop warns that those who arrive late or do not show up are not refunded, and that there are no toilets either on board or at the departure point.

The cruise with lunch still has few reviews: 19, with a 5.0 rating. The kayak from Monterosso has a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 people per booking (for one or two people it is organized with different prices) and is not suitable for those who cannot swim.

Does the boat depart in bad weather?

It depends on the sea: the Linea 02 operator warns that the service may change with weather and sea conditions, and the same applies to tours.

  • The boat with guide from La Spezia: with variable weather or sea conditions, the itinerary may change during the tour. Non-foldable or electric strollers are not allowed.
  • The boat with land stop: goes out even with light rain; outside summer the program may vary, for example without the swimming stop.
  • The kayak: depends on the weather; if it is canceled, they offer another date or a full refund.

For Linea 02, check the schedule page on the day itself.

Boat or train to tour the Cinque Terre?

They are different services: the train stops in all five villages and has prices by band; the boat reaches four villages, is paid separately and depends on the sea.

For a day, these are the figures to compare. The Linea 02 daily ticket costs €42 from La Spezia. The Treno MS Card for one day costs €22, €29.50 or €35 until 1 November 2026, according to the band, and also includes the Sentiero Verde Azzurro and the Via dell'Amore with booking. You can also combine them, for example outbound by boat and return by train, with separate tickets.

Among the day trips from Florence, the one with street food includes a boat ride, except in the semi-independent option; in the day with trekking or Pisa the boat runs from late March to October, weather permitting, and is paid on the day.
