A day in a small group from La Spezia: a tour leader, the Cinque Terre Card for trains between villages and three stops, in Vernazza, Monterosso and Riomaggiore. Designed for those arriving by cruise and wanting someone who knows trains and connections, with a limoncino tasting mid-day.

Cinque Terre by train with limoncino

The experience

The meeting point is at La Spezia cruise terminal, in Largo Michele Fiorillo; if you disembark from a ship, you get there by shuttle. From there, a 20-minute walk through the center takes you to the station, and in about 15 minutes by train you are in Vernazza. Then Monterosso, with a stop for limoncino in a traditional shop, and Riomaggiore, before returning to La Spezia. It’s 8 hours. On GetYourGuide it has 4.4 out of 5 with 691 reviews and starts from $80 per person (October 2026), with free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

The listing includes «a Cinque Terre Card», described as the daily pass for trains between one village and another. On official channels the Card that includes regional trains between Levanto and La Spezia is the Cinque Terre Treno MS Card: for an adult, 1 day, it costs €22.00, €29.50 or €35.00 according to the green, yellow or red band of the Trenitalia 2026 calendar (from 14 March to 1 November 2026), and €17.30 with the single rate from 2 November to 31 December 2026, according to the Park's Treno Card price list. The Treno MS Card also includes the Sentiero Verde Azzurro, buses in the villages and the Via dell'Amore with mandatory reservation. The listing does not say which version is included: if you are interested in the trails, ask the operator.

It is a tour with a tour leader, not a guided visit of the villages: in each village you have free time, and the order of stops may change. Animals, large luggage or bags are not allowed, and the tour is not suitable for those with mobility issues or using a wheelchair. If you are staying in La Spezia, you can choose the cruise port or the station as the starting point.
