To book: Cinque Terre from Florence, from $61 per person. Check dates Tour details
Let's start with what surprises most: at the Cinque Terre you do not buy an entry ticket. The National Park is an open territory, the five villages can be visited freely and no reservation is needed to enter. The Park itself states this in its FAQ.
The Cinque Terre Card is for something else: the Sentiero Verde Azzurro in the paid stretches and the Via dell'Amore. It exists as a Trekking Card and as a Treno MS Card, which adds regional trains between Levanto and La Spezia. Here you will find the 2026 prices as published by the Park and the rules to know before paying.
The short answer
There is no entry ticket to the Cinque Terre. The Trekking Card costs €10 for one day, €15 on the Park’s calendar high attendance days, and covers the Sentiero Verde Azzurro between Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia, the Via dell'Amore with booking and buses in the villages. The Treno MS Card adds regional trains Levanto - La Spezia: from €22 to €35 per day until 1 November 2026, according to the band.
How much does it cost to enter the Cinque Terre?
Nothing: there is no entry ticket. You only pay for the services you use, i.e. the train, the Card for the paid trails and the Via dell'Amore, the boats.
The Cinque Terre National Park has no gates: you can walk through the villages without buying anything, except the transport you use.
So how much does it cost to go there? It depends on what you do. The train between the villages requires a Cinque Terre fare ticket or the Treno MS Card. The Sentiero Verde Azzurro between Monterosso and Corniglia and the Via dell'Amore require the Card. The Linea 02 boat has its own tickets, explained in the boat guide. All official 2026 prices are collected in the prices article.
What does the Cinque Terre Card include?

Are the Cinque Terre trails paid?
Only the Sentiero Verde Azzurro, in the stretches between Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia, and the Via dell'Amore. All other Park trails are free.
The Sentiero Verde Azzurro is the former trail no. 2, along the coast. As of 22 September 2026, according to the Park, the Manarola - Corniglia stretch (592-2) was closed. The Card was therefore valid for Corniglia - Vernazza, Vernazza - Monterosso and for the Via dell'Amore between Riomaggiore and Manarola.
The status changes: check the trail network page. Difficulty grades, times and rules of the Via dell'Amore are in the trail guide.
Where do you buy the Cinque Terre Card, and can it be refunded?
Online on the Park shop and at the Welcome Centers in the stations; refunds are only provided in the cases set out in the Regulations, such as weather alerts.
The official shop is card.parconazionale5terre.it. On site you will find the Park's Welcome Centers at the stations of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso, La Spezia Centrale and Levanto. The Treno MS Card is also sold through Trenitalia channels. The Card is in the holder's name: at checks you show it with an ID, and a digital copy is sufficient.
There are three refund cases: weather alert (yellow only for the Trekking Card, orange and red for all), force majeure, train strike for the Treno Card only. Light rain does not count. With an orange or red alert the Park suspends sales. Those who bought online can change the date once, at least 24 hours in advance, to a day in the same fare band.
